Be a Gift to the World

Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow [ PHF ] recognition has been accorded to my 1+ year old grand son Vivaan whose parents [ My daughter and son-in-law] made an initial contribution of US$250 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International to commemorate Vivaan’s First Birthday in 2015.

A glittering function was organized on Sunday, the 24th January, 2016  by the Rotary Clubs of Twin-cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad  on the eve of  upcoming 66th Republic Day of India.  The guest of honor Rtn. Gopinatha Reddy, the District Governor of  the Rotary International District 3150 outlined the Rotary District 3150 services to improve lives in communities and acknowledged the contributions made by Rotary Clubs through its Members with involvement of their Family thus working in line with 2015-16  Rotary International theme  “Be a Gift to the World”.

Rtn. Gopinatha Reddy, District Governor recounted in his own words the classic examples as to how Rotary Club of Hyderabad Metro [ chartered on 20 June 1974 ] having all Members Paul Harris Fellows,
thus gained Club status as 100% PHF Club still connecting  their family members  with Paul Harris Fellow concept. He referred to the PHF Rotarian couple Suresh & Uma Vellore who showered their beloved son Hemanth with PHF on the very first day of his birth while PHF Rtn Suryanarayana SV who honored his Father with PHF on his Father’s 90th Birthday.  The guest of honor Rtn DG Gopinatha Reddy commended by presenting Paul Harris Fellow Certificate & PIN to little Vivaan in the presence of august audience.
